X79 deluxe abnormal dimm

Hi there,

I'm getting an abnormal dimm in one of my ram slots.

My specs are:
Mobile - Asus x79 deluxe
ddr3 - CMD16GX3M4A1866C9 corsair(4x4gb)

The current bios setting are defaulted.

Ddr3 - 1866mhz
1.5v.

Out of all the 4 slots the Simms are in, b1 slot says abnormal...

I've already tried changing the MHz speeds and voltage on the ram and CPU..... Any thoughts? It's supposed to be one of the qvd as well...

1| Make sure your BIOS is up to date.
2| According to your manual, page 1-10, your board supports running with only one stick of ram. With the system breadboarded and prepped use only one stick of ram from your kit to test out each stick in your kit. That way you can verify of the slots the culprit or if one of your stick f ram from the 4 is faulty.

In case you're confused, try run one stick of ram in slot DIMM_D1 and try to boot up the system. Upon successful bootup, test with another stick of ram again in D1 and move forward until you've tried all 4 dimms in the same slot.

If you're under warranty and the ram slot is the culprit then you should RMA it asap. I would ofc stress to update your BIOS before you move further...
