Excel.I have only 2GB RAM With 32-Bit. I need 8GB with 64-bit urgently. How adn where do I get this upgrade ?. Sorry I'm new to this and a bit lost. Will appreciate your help

Your motherboard may not support 8GB RAM. If you only have 2GB now, it sounds like you have pretty old hardware. 64bit refers to the operating system. You probably have Windows XP. You would have to purchase a new operating system to go from 32 bit to 64 bit. Your best bet MAY be to buy a new computer. It will probably have 8GB or more RAM and will have a 64bit OS.

Thank you so much for advising me. Yes I am now sure I will have to purchase a new operating system. I have Windows7 and will find out about the motherboard. You have put me on the right path to solving my problem and I am really grateful dear Kanewolf.
