I am looking for a build with gtx 970,I don't have a specific budget,I am looking for a pc powerful enough to run video editing softwares (After Effects,Nuke,Premiere) and also some 3D rendering.Components I already have Cooler Master Elite 431 plus cabinet,Samsung 128GB SSD,2x8Gb DDR3 ram,Corsair 450 watts power supply unit. Please suggest me the best gtx 970 variant, an Intel cpu (i7 would be ideal for my purpose I guess), ram and a motherboard. Also will a 450W psu be enough for this rig or will I need to upgrade. Thanks a lot.

For the price of a GTX 970 you can get a GTX 1060 6gb which is much faster and you won't be limited to 3.5gb vram. Also which Corsair PSU model do you have?

The Xeon is similar to a i7 (4 cores/8 threads) but this version has no iGPU which is fine since you already have a dedicated GPU.

The i7 6700K (1151) is not compatible with the MB I posted above since its a different socket, plus you would need to get DDR4 RAM. The fastest i7 that is compatible with DDR3 RAM is the i7-4790K (1150) and you will probably want a Z97 motherboard so you can overclock the CPU further if needed. The Xeon I posted is similar to the i7-4770 but is much cheaper.
