I'm looking into building a gaming rig for around $1000. I've been researching for the past couple of weeks looking into parts and what not, and have come up with this build:

I'm pretty happy with the build, but still have a few questions:

1. Will the 500w PSU be enough for the build? PCPartPicker is saying it will use a maximum of 440w, which seems a little tight.
2. Will the Motherboard bottleneck any of my parts? I decided to go with the cheaper motherboard as it was recommended for many similar builds.
3. How many case fans should I use? The SPEC-2 has more than enough spots, I'm just not sure where and how many with the Hyper 212 on the i5.

Answers to the above and any further suggestions are greatly appreciated, thank you!

I think I would throw that whole build out. It's a good start but that PSU is not a good unit (it will not power that GPU under a full load), nor is that SSD. The motherboard is not a bottleneck. And I would not worry about case fans until you get your PC built. This is a bit over budget but has much better components:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($227.99 @ SuperBiiz)
CPU Cooler: CRYORIG H7 49.0 CFM CPU Cooler ($34.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Asus Z170-E ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($119.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($65.99 @ Newegg)...
