i5 3570k asus p8-z77-v pro problem

so i upgraded my pc to these components from an fx 6100 and not so great gigabyte board and one issue i only have is turning off my pc , restarting and sleep when i turn off the computer or put it to sleep my hard drive turns off and every thing else is still on the fans are running and my power led is on no hard drive and when i restart the computer it turns off and turns back on

I had that same issue with my 3570k, Asus p8z77-v. Le, it had something to do with sleep settings and hibernation. Once I set bios to not go beyond S1 I think it was (other choice was S3), basically not allowing c-states below C3 and totally got rid of hibernation (not just disabled) that problem went away.
