I posted here for my first build, 5 years ago. I was very happy with the build and it's still running strong. I feel like a change so I'm hoping that I can get some more advice. I haven't upgraded at all, so looking to do a completely new build rather than use anything from my current set up.

Budget: Hopefully 90,000-100,000 yen (around US $900- $1000)
Parts Not Required: I can live with my current monitor, keyboard, and mouse for now but need everything else including OS and a new case. I don't think the budget will stretch to a monitor, so I'll get that in a month or two.
Country of Origin: Japan
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: I’m planning on buying pretty much everything from Japanese online stores
Parts Preferences/intended use: I was looking at Intel i5 6500 with GTX 1070 and a small-ish case. Want something that will run most games comfortably (don't need maxed out settings in AAA titles or anything like that though) and will use the PC for everyday surfing, video streaming, etc. I am not planning on overclocking.

Additional Comments:
-I'm quite happy to just use a recommended build I find online, but often the parts available to me vary considerably in price compared to US or European suppliers. I'd like to use one of the recommended builds as a basis and get some help finding alternative parts.
-I have a full size tower at the moment, but would like to downsize.
-I based the parts below on the Best Build Sept 2016 "Broken Flames" and replaced some parts that were difficult to find or more expensive.(http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-pc-builds,4390.html)

CPU: i5-6500 ¥20,791
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2666MHz 16GB (2x8GB) ¥8,136
HDD:HDD: Western Digital 1TB Blue WD10EZEX ¥5,000
SSD: ADATA Premier SP550 Solid State Drive ASP550SS3-240GM-C ¥6,980
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 G1 GAMING ¥47,980
Case: Enthoo EVOLV ITX PH-ES215P_BK ¥11,000
PSU: NeoECO Classic NE650C ¥6,110
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z170N-Gaming 5 18,980

Total: around 107,000 (or about 1,070 US$) - I'm rounding to $1=100 yen

I've used this price comparison site (http://kakaku.com/pc/) for the prices and took the lowest one, so I might need to add a little to the total to take into account postage/price changes.
There are pages for components with sales rankings and filters for searching for specific parts/specs. Here's the PSU page as an example - http://kakaku.com/pc/power-supply/

Questions/Requests
Anything that isn't compatible or won't fit in the case?
I dropped the power supply by 100W from the recommended build, will it still be okay?
Based on prices/parts available on the site I listed, can you see any way to save money or improve the build without adding too much more?
I know the Z170 chip motherboard isn't necessary if I'm not overclocking, but the H110 and H170 chip cards I found didn't have great reviews. Happy to switch that out if there is a good one though.

Thanks for taking the time to read. Any suggested changes would be great.

Solution
The parts will fit into the case, no problem on that front.

As for the PSU: considering you won't be overclocking and how efficient the parts are, you can safely pick a 550W PSU (and even smaller, but a little margin is ok). The CPU is a 65W part, and the GTX 1070 won't push more than 180W. Adding all other parts, 550W or even 500W is still way more than needed. You won't save much, but every penny counts :)

In order to use DDR4 memory that goes beyond 2133 MHz you need to have the Z170 chipset. It won't make a huge difference, though. Especially compared to DDR4 2666 MHz. So i would recommend to save on both the RAM and the mobo. I can't recommend a particular mobo cause i can't read Japanese, and i don't even know where to click on...

But basically any name brand mobo (ASUS, Gigabyte, Asrock) with H110 or H170 chipset should be OK. You can then save some more also going down to DDR4 2133 MHz. Performance-wise, you shouldn't notice the difference.

Otherwise, it's a pretty solid build :)

Thanks for reading and giving some advice. Apologies for not providing anything in English. I could link individual pages, but it's probably easier if I just search based on your recommendations. I realized as I was checking through, there was a mistake with my maths and it's actually about 200 dollars more than I wrote in the original mail! Maybe I missed the CPU from the calculations.

My main worry was about the size of the components in the case and the power supply. Good to hear they're fine, so just looking to save a bit of cash now.

Mobo
I've checked H170 mobos I can get easily and came up with these four
https://pcpartpicker.com/products/compare/D9Gj4D,vXvZxr,QrVBD3,gQ648d/

ASUS H170I-PLUS D3 - ¥15,980
MSI H170I PRO AC - ¥15,272
ASUS H170I-PRO - ¥14,780
GIGABYTE GA-H170N-WIFI [Rev.1.0] - ¥13,407
ASRock H170M-ITX/ac - ¥11,674

Based on the reviews on pcpartpicker and the prices in Japan, the Gigabyte card seems the best value. No DisplayPort on that one as far as I can see though. I don't know much about it tbh, and it's not a big deal with my current monitor, but I would like to get a better monitor soon after the build so wondering if this is significant.

Memory
There doesn't seem to be much difference in price when I switch memory, actually, the 2133 seems to be more expensive in the listings I can find at the moment. Only by a couple of dollars, but seems strange.
If staying with 21666 memory affects the performance negatively, I'll drop to the 2133, but if the system isn't affected by then I'll keep it as 2666.

Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2666 Memory - ¥8,136
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory - ¥8,168

PSU
Looking to save here money with a drop in wattage. If 500W is okay, then I can use this supply.

Thermaltake 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply - ¥5,721
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/bH98TW/thermaltake-pow...

Other than that, I don't think there is much else I can do to cut the costs. Just the case, perhaps. If I change, instead of the Enthoo EVOLV ITX PH-ES215P_BK (¥11,000) I could go for one of these:

Obsidian 250D CC-9011047-WW - ¥8,980
Cooler Master Elite 130 - ¥5,721
Core V1 CA-1B8-00S1WN-00 - ¥5,054

https://pcpartpicker.com/products/compare/6wR48d,gHkD4D...

Updated list
If I go with the cheapest case, I'm left with

no change CPU: i5-6500 ¥20,791
no change (unless detrimental) RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2666MHz 16GB (2x8GB) ¥8,136
no change HDD: Western Digital 1TB Blue WD10EZEX ¥5,000
no change SSD: ADATA Premier SP550 Solid State Drive ASP550SS3-240GM-C ¥6,980
no change GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 G1 GAMING ¥47,980
Case:Core V1 CA-1B8-00S1WN-00 - ¥5,054
PSU: Thermaltake 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply - ¥5,721
MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-H170N-WIFI [Rev.1.0] - ¥13,407

Total (correct this time!) - 113,069 or about 1,130US$

I'll have a search for cheaper prices on these parts I guess. Thanks again for the help.

Last few questions if you or anyone else reading can help :)
-Again, confirmation that I'm on the right lines with the changes in parts would be great.
-Also, is checking that components will fit in the case just a matter of checking details on pcpartpicker? e.g. If I look at the new power supply I selected, I can check compatible cases. Is this reliable?
-Similar question with the power supply, so long as I'm within the total listed on pcpartpicker and it's Bronze rated or above I'm okay?
-In regards to the mobo, would the lack of a DisplayPort option be enough to put you off the Gigabyte card? or is it not that important?
