Okay, so I am trying to make a relatively-ok build that has a brand new Gigabyte 970A-DS3P in it with 8 gb RAM clocked at 1066mHz and has an old OEM GTX 545. I tried to get the computer running earlier today, however with the AMD Athlon II x2 220 in it, the computer would not post, the GPU works fine in my other build and so does the RAM and HDD, however the computer would not post. I assume this is because the motherboard might not be compatible with the Athlon II x2 220.
Any recommendations on some CPUs that are within the $45-$65 range that are better than the Athlon II x2 220 and would work on this motherboard?: Gigabyte 970A-DS3P (Rev: 2.1)
