Got a quick question, so I recently had to get a new Mobo and cooler for my CPU, hoping it would dip temps and make me able to Overclock a tad more, sadly it's quite different than I imagined it to be, with socket temps being on 40-45 degrees Celsius Idle to 65 degrees Celsius under Prime Stress Test mind you all on stock, no overclocking. While core temps stay cooler than ever before with the new Hyper 212X Cooler that I got. Is this normal, or is there something wrong here, please help lads! q.q

Solution
Your CPU cooler is cooling from the top of your CPU, not the bottom where the socket is. You probably need more airflow directly over the motherboard. High socket temps aren't healthy, although it is pretty typical of FX octacores to behave this way.
