I'm building my first gaming PC and confused about the CPUs
so amd or intel?
FX 6300 VS I3 6100
and to all people who say get the core i3 as it has a better upgrade path - i'm not going to upgrade for atleast 2-3 years.
I will be using my gaming PC for gaming and editing.
Or should i wait for the AMD ZEN?

Solution
Yeah, any Intel CPU will work in any motherboard that has its socket. You could put an i7 6700K in the H110. There will also be two more generations of CPUs released for 1151 over the next 2-3 years that you can drop in.
Core i3 6100, hands down. It might be worth waiting for Zen, but we know for certain AMD's Zen will only be coming in 8c/16t initially, so it's very likely to be at least $4-500, possibly more than $6-700 when released, and probably doesn't fit your budget.

I can provide some graphs if you'd like, but Techspot decided it was "The Best CPU for the Money":

EDIT: The i3 is better in basically every metric. Its multithreaded performance matches or slightly exceeds the FX-6300's, despite the FX having 3x as many cores. The i3's single-threaded performance is almost twice as high. The i3 draws half the power, is on a newer platform, has instructions the FX doesn't, and comes with an integrated GPU that has some nifty features like Quicksync, native 4k output, and hardware decoding of most video formats.

Admirable
yea, theres no contest there. skylake i3 is better in every way. the 6300 is very dated. amd zen might have better offers, but it would be a waiting game, and you might not see something thats worth it for another year or more.
