I'm going to 3d print a mobo tray for my pc in a desk mod. I have everything down, except the diameter of the standoffs. Also is plastic a good material for a mobo tray? I'm going to have it 3d printed to save like 50 bucks. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The standoffs will be whatever size you decide to pick. They normally come with the case but since you are building your own, the burden of picking them is yours. Standoffs are available in many different lengths, widths, thread sizes and thread pitches. For threading into plastic, you may want to look for nylon standoffs and screws close to the biggest thread size that will fit in motherboard holes. If you go with brass stand-offs, you need to pick ones that are smaller than the metal pads surrounding the holes.
