So i left my computer on to download a game from a torrent because the windows store sucks and I had to find an alternative for how to download Forza Horizon 3. I started the download today again, after numerous times trying to download it, then after I get back to see the progress, my computer is frozen when I get to it, freezes a few seconds after i input mouse movements, or get the classic windows blue screen (not blue screen of death) screen saying "something went wrong, let us restart your computer so you don't know what actually went wrong" after i input mouse movements. At first I thought my BenQ monitor, or cable were dysfunctional. I switched out the cables, and monitors with different cables, still black. Now it must be a problem with my system I think, because after it black screens my pc is still on, then I turn it off and on, and it works perfectly fine. This only happens after I leave it idle or downloading for a long amount of time. I have built my own pc, and am pretty educated with everything, so give me every solution no matter how intrusive because I need to fix this. Thanks in advance!

Update - I have found that when the freezes and black screens are happening, my ram is maxing out. All my ram is used up when none of my programs are using much. PLEASE HELP ME!

try updating bios/motherboard drivers

right click start button
choose command prompt (admin)
type chkdsk C: /f
two paragraphs appear, choose Y to allow it to run at start

this just fixes file system on ssd

right click start
choose power options
run high performance
choose change power settings (against plan you running)
set monitor/pc to never turn off when under power
choose advanced power options
find hdd and set to never turn off - not sure if this counts ssd but it might

I got same CPU and not overclocked either as I don't see need for more speed yet, and only have stock cooling fan

open task manager
open performance tab
look at bottom of page and choose Open resource monitor
open the memory tab
click on the commit column and sort in order of usage

see what process name is using the highest commits

another option that might show you more. Download and install Process Explorer - https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/processexplorer.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396 - its an op version of task manager and goes into more details
its default view is in tree view, so as to see what controls the processes
Private bytes = the amount of memory allocated to this program alone.
working bytes = the amount of actual RAM allocated to this program by Windows.
if you right click the header columm you can add headers such as Command Line that shows the location on C drive where file is running from

helps to run it as admin so it can see everything

This explains what all the columns mean and all the colors: http://www.howtogeek.com/school/sysinternals-pro/lesson2/
