I agree, I would go with evga in a build that nice, they aren't much more, and much better psu then corsair , trust me, the last thing you want is a faulty psu that fries your system completly

The VS is unlikely to actually damage the system, they just tend to have a shorter lifespan. The lower end Evga units have the same problem. Both Corsair and Evga have some great psus and some that are not so good, but neither currently have known system killers.
