Hello im looking to upgrading my CPU and MOBO

Hy! So, i have a pc with
an R7 260X 2 GB asus DirectCU ll GPU
Pentium G2020 2.9Ghz
400W PSU
4GB ddr3 ram
Gigabyte H61M-S2PV motherboard

And i was wondering if i could upgrade my cpu and my motherboard without the need of getting a power supply or something else

I was looking at the I3-6100 Skylake
And an Asus H110M-A/M.2 motherboard
Are these a good combo ?

Remember, you'll have to get DDR4 as well, as DDR3 isn't supported on that motherboard

That's pretty minimalist system you are thinking of, may not be much of improvement for the money. Might be better of just getting an i5 for that MB.
To say nothing that you'll need DDDR4 memory for for new MB and CPU.
Core i5-3570 for instance. GPU is usually most power hungry component so if that's any good PSU, it should suffice for either.

You could do with adding a 3770 or 3570 cpu and add some ram,could even look for used.No need for reinstalling that way and performance will be good.

Yes, CPUs don't die young so used one from trusted seller with possibility of RMA would be a good choice for an older machine.

RMA = Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA), return authorization (RA) or return goods authorization (RGA) is a part of the process of returning a product in order to receive a refund, replacement, or repair during the product's warranty period.
As for compatibility, if it's here: http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=4065 it will work on it.
