I've only really tested this on two games. World of Warcraft and Rise of the Tomb Raider.

I was stuck on about 40FPS with max settings on in WoW and I don't think Rise of the Tomb Raider is seeing a better fate.

I've capture a comparison here.

Now, as you can see, I'm not getting anywhere near the results that Rise of the Tomb Raider, completely maxed out at 1440p is getting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNBS8x_sChw

I'm only playing at 1080p.

World of Warcraft can get up to about 86 frames every now and then but it's rare, and in populated or dense areas I'm stuck between 40 and 60 FPS.

I'm certain it's not the card because it came straight from the retailer in perfect condition. I am not doing something right.

Here are my specs: http://i.imgur.com/bK7oT9A.png

Does anyone know why this might be happening?

by any chance with at least world of warcraft do you have scaling turned on? potentially you have it scaling to 4k which is pushing the GPU too hard.

also, if you can, get precision x or msi afterburner so you can see the GPU/CPU levels as you play. could see if there is a bottleneck somewhere.
