What do does my power supply need to be connected to on the board, in order for it to turn on

I got a powersupply and i did the paperclip test and it worked. i plugged in my cpu connector, and motherboard connector , but the powersupply doesnt turn on. i do not have a case. Am i missing somthing?

You'll also need to plug in a power on button of some sort to the motherboard pins etc.

Paper Clip test only proves there is some degree of power , doesn't mean you have 100% viable PSU.

You need to short the power sw pins on the main board with a screw driver
