Hello

I am wondering if my RAM is good. According to userbenchmark.com, my ram is performing under potential.

Benchmark/PC Spec link here: http://

This is the RAM I am using: http://

Would I need to upgrade my RAM? I am using the GPUs graphics instead of the APUs graphics. I am only using one stick of the 8GB RAM. I use my PC mainly for gaming and may record in the future. Would it also be worth the money to buy another stick of RAM to run the memory in dual channel? Thanks in advance!

Solution
Yes you can use what you have, as long as you are fine with the performance, Benchmarks let you know where you stand in comparison to other rigs, but you are the determining factor as far as if it's 'good enough'

Couple things there, basically 1600/9 is considered entry level and you have 1600 but running with a slower CL of 11. Also while you have 8GB ist's a single stick so runs single channel, a 2x4GB set would run in dual channel mode (possible up to a 10-15% performance gain over single channel. With your APU I'd look for 1866/9 in 2x4GB as the entry point

I will stick to my GT 720 for Graphics, but I will upgrade my GPU SOON. Is there a BIG difference in gaming between the CL9 and CL11 1600mhz RAM? Would there also be a BIG difference if i bought another stick of memory and ran it in dual channel? Are both of these upgrade options worth the money? Also, is my RAM good enough for gaming and the possibility of recording in the future?
