Is this ram compatible for this motherboard ASUS Z170-AR LGA1151

so im buying a new pc and i wanted to know if the ram i want to buy is compatible with this motherboard

Both of those sets of RAM are compatible.

The 2666mhz is listed as a compatible speed but the 3200mhz is not.

From what I can find, that motherboard supports RAM up to 3400 MHz, so it'll be fine. PC Part Picker also says it's compatible.

The second set 2666 is 1.2v which is jedec standard and more likely to work. The motherboard has to support the higher voltage of the first at 1.35v for the 3200 Ram to work.

I would suggest it because it would make upgrading to a new motherboard less problematic. Jedec spec memory usally has a lower risk of memory being DOA. Least that is the way is seems but could also be the fact jedec simple works for all motherboards.

Both should work,but the 3200mhz might need an OC of the cpu to work at that speed.the 2666mhz probably will just work by enabling XMP.
