MSI Gtx 1060 and fx 6300

I am currently debating on getting the 6300 or paying 50$ more and getting the 8350. My GPU im going with is the MSI gtx 1060 6g. This is my first build so any advice with my processor choice will be greatly appreciated.

My best advice is to avoid all of the old FX cpus. The i3 6100 would be much much better than even the FX8350. Cheaper too!

Agreed, never invest in an AM3+ CPU in the current market!

What's your budget?
There are some poor choices in there, and the PSU is low quality.

This is my list so far, i really want to stick with amd because of my budget. I already have the case.

But AMD is not better at ANY budget.

Even a $110 i3 6100 on a $50 motherboard would be much better than that FX8350.

You could even get an i5 instead without raising the total cost of your build.

A FX8350 would severely bottleneck a GTX1060 or RX480.

Thank you guys for the info im definately going with intel. My budget is around 800$. Im buying it peice by peice so its easier.

The i3 6300 is a tad bit better than the i3 6100.

The i3 has 2 VERY strong cores and hyperthreading that makes it work like a quad core.

The FX6300 is 6 really weak cores.

Most games just use 1 or 2 cores making the i3 a far better choice.

Ok good, i found a deal for the i3 6300 and a gigabyte h110m-a mobo for 160$. Im going with that one
