Hey guys,

I need to get a keyboard for my PC, I've never used a mech and according to the people around the internet, once you use mech you'll not want to use membrane keyboards again. But I'm limited by my budget which is INR 4000 (approx US $60)
I'll be buying from amazon.in if that helps.

My requirements are mostly gaming and browsing. I need Backlighting, and if possible then multimedia keys. Macro would be nice but I'm out of budget here (leaning towards mech, but want to hear your opinions).

According to what's available, my options are:

  • Redragon: ASURA K501, Vara K551, Kumara K552, Usas K553
    Logitech G310
    Roccat Arvo compact
    Thermaltake Gaming Keyboard (KB-CHM-MBBLUS-01)
The reason I was leaning towards G310 are the considerably cheaper price than what it was launched at. In comparison, the Logitech G910 is priced 4 times higher but they have the same Romer-G keys.
I already have a G502 Proteus core, so no need for separate software either.

Solution

I'm using a G910 and i'm really happy with it, if they use the same tech on the G310 but just less fancy i would say that is not a bad purchase.

In my opinion a keyboard is not something you look if it's worth or not. Trying them is the best option for me at least. Because you are going to be using it for a long time, I suggest you have a look at all of them in reality and check which buttons suit you the best. :)

Thanks for the quick reply, the thing is, there aren't many places which let you test devices here in India. Only a few premium stores offer that, and I have none around me.
so unfortunately, I have to decide based on other people's opinion and experiences.

Yeah, I was actually hoping the same, it's was introduced as a TKL G910

The comparison is with THIS. Main difference is the numpad and red color, but i'm not sure about the brand
