I am planning to build a gaming computer 300 dollars worth of motherboard, graphics card,ram,cpu and a hard disk. I have this power supply from my old weak ass conputer which is 500 watts but im not sure if it is safe to use because some people in this community says that low quality power supply can fry the computer plus i cant find such brand in the internet so can someone say if this is safe to use?

Short answer, quite probably.
Long answer; check the thing to find any efficiency rating implied over it. It should be under a text that describe as 80-Plus something. If none to be found, better buy a better PSU ASAP.
Efficiency ratings are no joke. They actually tested it to pass certain standard.
