Im building a new pc for the first time. I just need the pc for browsing and watching movies. So i decided to go with asus a68hmk mobo, amd a6 6400 k cpu, 4gb hyperx kingston ram, optical drive and my old laptop hard drive. Basically i want my pc to be low cost with reliable parts. Im confused with psu part. Can i get 350w antec psu for my configuration or should i need to go with 450w antec or corsair. Im not planning to buy a graphic card in future or now coz i wont be playing games and please suggest a low cost cpu fan for that mobo

You are investing in an outdated AMD platform with no upgrade path. If you decide to go with that type of setup, 4GB of memory will be a bit low. With the shared memory for the graphic you will be giving the OS less than that 4GB. It will work, but 8GB will allow the system to stretch its legs a bit. For a PSU look toward XFX, Seasonic, the EVGA G2 lineup, or filter through the Tier 1 or Tier 2 list.. www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

A system similar to the Intel build below will cover what you are after very easily, and can support a CPU and MEM upgrade down the road.

i pretty much agree with SADAMS04 amd's APU line up is kind of a dead end to me and not worth it. unfortunately amd has not come out with there cpu's yet but if you are willing to wait that is what i would go with as amd usually has a better budget rig then intel but if you want it right now i would go with intel.
