Hello,
I got an old system
MOBO : GA M55PLUS S3G
RAM : 1GBx4 Sticks 677Mhz
CPU : Athlon x2 4200+
So one of my friends gave me a GPU for free because he bought a new one. I install it to my pc and download GPU-Z it says that my GPU is Sapphire R7 260X OC 2 GB. My previous card was GA GTS 250 1gb.When I install the new GPU it did more beeps than the previous card and then booted.(with previous card my pc did 1 beep sound and then boot now it makes 15 low beeps and then boot, but that's not the problem its ok)
Everything works perfect but I saw that my gpu is only using 1gb. Is this happening because I have an old system and it isn't able to read all the 2GB Of ram?I will upgrade in 5 days
MOBO:GA H110 S2H
CPU:i5 6600
RAM:2x8GB Hyper X Savage 2133Mhz
In GPU chipset properties it says Adapter Type : AMD Radeon R7 200Series , Total Available Graphics Memory : 3071 MB , Dedicated Video Memory : 1024MB , System Video Memory : 0 , Shared System Memory : 2047
Thanks for your time!

What is reporting that it is only using 1 GB? If CPU-Z says that the total memory available is 1gb then yeah i'd be concerned but if you are tracking the usage and you see 1 gb being used thats normal. you are only going to use as much vram as you need, not 2gb all the time.
