PC randomly reboots (no overheating / no BSOD)

Hello. I've been facing this issue for about a month now, where my PC would randomly restart without any BSOD or even any overheating.
At first, the PC would only restart while playing games. Sometimes, it'd go on for hours without any issue, but sometimes it'd restart within 20 minutes. But now, the issue seems to have gotten worse, where the PC would restart even when I'm watching videos on youtube.
Everything turns off as if I turned off the main switch, and then it turns back on again.

Solutions I've tried so far:

I've tried a different GPU but the problem still persists. In fact, on the older GPU (GTX 760), the PC would restart a lot sooner than my current GPU (GTX 1060).

I've tried reseating all the components and I've also tried seating my RAM in a different slot.

I've tried different video drivers (using DDU)

Performed a clean windows install.

Tried different surge protectors as well as tried connecting directly to the main switchboard.

Tried using a different HDMI cable.

Abnormal things I've noticed:

Back when the issue was new, the game would stutter abnormally until the pc restarted, but now it just reboots without any warning.

Sometimes, right when it restarts, the lights in my room become dim for a fraction of a second before going back to normal. This made me think there was a wiring issue. But I've tried using the PC in different rooms, but it still reboots. And this doesn't happen every single time, but it is something I've noticed regardless.

Sometimes the PSU makes a very weird clicking sound, as if the fan is hitting something but I've checked and it is absolutely clean.

When I run Furmark, I can run it for a long time with no issues. But as soon as I turn on prime95(blend) along with furmark, the pc crashes within a minute or two. The temperatures are absolutely normal. The GPU temp on load is around 50-55C whereas the CPU temp on load is 55-60C

Conclusion:

All this makes me think it's my PSU that's causing the issue, and I am willing to buy a new one, but I just need to be 100% certain that it is the PSU before buying anything.

Are there any other steps I could take to ensure it's not something else that's causing the issue? All I have is a spare GPU to test, and nothing else.

Thanks for reading and helping me out! Please let me know if there's any more info that you may need.

My system specs:

Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H (Bios up to date)

i7-3770 (NON-K) @3.4GHz

Hyper 212x CPU Cooler

Asus GTX 1060 6GB STRIX (Non-OC)

Corsair VS550 550W PSU

Have you looked into the Windows Event Logs to check it out?

You didn't post your whole specs, but using http://www.coolermaster.com/power-supply-calculator/ you are at like 500W, so more then likely you are correct in your assumption that it is your PSU. I would upgrade to 600+W to be on the safe side.

Apart from the ones that I listed in the main post, I have:
2x 8GB DDR3 RAM at 1600MHz
2x SATA HDD at 10000 RPM
3x 120mm Fans (2 LEDs)

And that's about it. I think I'm fine on the wattage, but I feel I'm paying the price for choosing a tier 4 PSU. I just want to be sure before buying a new one though.

That's not possible unfortunately, since most of my friends either own laptops or very basic PCs with PSUs that simply wouldn't be enough to run my system. I'm going to buy a new PSU tomorrow. Will the Seasonic S12II 520 be a good choice? It's a tier 2 PSU and I've read good things about it.
