Missing WiFi icon

I restarted my HP Pavilion and now it won't recognize my wireless network. The icon is missing from the taskbar and there is no wifi option under settings. Airplane mode is not turned on. The only connection available is the ethernet.

There is no wireless adaptor listed in my network adaptors list. Only the ethernet one and all the WAN mini ports. I have tried downloading updated drivers and even did a WLAN config download. NOTHING is working! This computer has been on wifi since the day I got it 2 years ago. It was on wifi up until 2:00 today.
