Second Hard Drive not showing up in Explorer (and other questions)

I have a few questions, but the main one is the one listed in the title. I just built a new computer (with the aid of my brother). The specs: Intel i7-5820k processor, ASUS X99-A II motherboard, gigabyte 1060 windforce graphics card, 1TB seagate HDD, 120 GB PNY SSD, 550W PSU, Carbide Spec-03 case, corsair h60 liquid cooler, 16GB G-Skills 2133 MHZ DDR4 RAM, and a bluray player I can't remember the name of.

I got everything in alright (the only issue was finding a spot to put the radiator so that it didn't block anything), and just installed windows 7 and all of my drivers. I did have a bit of trouble getting the wireless adapter to work, but, as you can see, it is working now. Now, I'm going to be downloading all of my games and things from Steam, plus WoW and other bnet games. The issue? My 1TB hard drive isn't showing up in Windows explorer. I looked it up real quick and did find it in Disk Management as other people were suggested to do. It says it's online and has 931.51GB free but that it is "Unallocated." It was even detected by the little screen thing telling me what devices are connected when I turned the computer on before installing Windows. How do I make it so that the hard drive shows up in explorer so that I can properly use it?

Onto the other question: I installed the 1060 graphics card as well (obviously) and its drivers. However, I went to play Chess Titans while waiting for my adapter to work, and it said "Hardware acceleration (or something like that) off or not supported by graphics card." I installed the driver CD that came with it (and allowed the icon to be put on the desktop), but whenever I try opening the icon, it wants permission and then does nothing. What is wrong? Now that I think about it, there is a 4-pin connector thingy attached to the power cable that plugged into the graphics card. Do I need to plug that in somewhere?

And my final question: I originally was using a VGA w/ a DVI-I adapter with my old computer. This graphics card doesn't have it, so I'm using an HDMI cable. The issue? Random colors are over some of the letters (even as I type them here) and make it difficult to read and look at. I can fix it by lowering the resolution from 1920x1080 to 1280x1024, but it's not as clear. What did I do wrong here?

This is my first time building a computer, so I'm not sure what I did wrong, if anything.

Okay, I figured out what was wrong with the hard drive. I just didn't partition it XD. Now, however, it doesn't have any of the files (program files, program files (x86), etc.) that my SSD has. Is this a problem?

No, it is not supposed to have any of those 'files'.
This is the way it should be.

That second drive, you can use for many things.
Put your Steam library on it.
Put your Doc/Music/Video libraries on it.
All sorts of things.

It's not a problem. The folders (Program Files, Program Files(x86), Users, Windows) are only needed on a boot drive. The storage drive will just hold whatever you put on it.

after the format there will be nothing on the drive. The drive can now be filled at your convenience with whatever you want.
your programs and windows and such are on the SSD because that is where they were installed. not a problem at all.
the 1060 will need the power cord attached I believe it is a six pin for the 1060. do you mean a six pin to 4 pin molex connector? https://images.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fecx.images-amazon.com%2Fimages%2FI%2F41B7lOrvoWL.jpg&f=1
that should plug into the PSU into an old style hard drive power connector (molex).

Does your monitor have any other inputs you could try? On my display the HDMI looked fuzzy and wrong, I had to get an adapter and use the VGA port.
what monitor do you have?

We connected a power connector to the 1060 card (I think it was a 6 pin). There's an additional 4 pin connector just hanging off of it pointing back down the cord toward the PSU. It doesn't seem long enough to be able to reach the motherboard, but it doesn't seem like it should just be sitting there either.

My monitor has a VGA port (which is what I used before), but my graphics card only has DVI-D, HDMI, and I think a DisplayPort. It is a Dynex televisions (not sure exactly which one) that I used to use as my TV before I got a 32 inch TV (I'm only 18 and this is the first time I've ever had to really pay for anyhting myself).

Edit: I took a look at your picture. It kind of looks like the left end. I think it has only 4 pins instead of 6 though.

Edit 2: I took a look through my case. It's smaller (way smaller) than I remember. I think it only has 2 pins. I know for a fact, though, that it's not a molex connector.

I'm going to upgrade to windows 10 because I'm used to it. Should that make a difference with all the colors I'm seeing, and maybe fix any issues I may be having? Will I need to reinstall my drivers if I upgrade?

How can I tell for sure that my computer is picking up my graphics card? I know that I saw it on the original screen that came up before it went to the BIOS and before I installed windows, but I can't remember if I saw it in the BIOS. Is there a way without going to the BIOS that I can tell that it's detected?

if it shows up in the device manager it is detected. if you are getting an image on the display the card is detected. I'm not sure I understand the question. if the PC does not detect the card then the display will be black.

Like I said, I'm new to this whole building computers thing :p. It's just that when Chess Titans said that either hardware acceleration or w/e is deactivated or my graphics card can't support it, it threw me for a loop. I was like "WTF, a 1060 should be able to support the lowest of low end games."

So I'm guessing that my graphics card's drivers didn't install properly because battle.net keeps telling me that either I don't meet the minimum system requirements or my drivers aren't updated. I don't feel like reinstalling them right now, so I'll do it in the morning and give an update.
