[SOLVED] What is a good Macbook Under $900 for Programming

Hello guys i decided to switch from gaming to creating websites, developing apps, and programming software. I am 15 years old and money is a big thing. I currently have a computer which is worth about $1,000 but I do not know whether or not I should sell it. What in your guys opinion is a good MacBook for under $900 that will be good for my needs and will last me a good time. I am ok with buying used items if that isnt a problem. Thanks.

Screen size is very important when it comes to development work. So, as the other guys have said, your current PC is going to be far more suited to this than any laptop. If you don't have a decent monitor you may want to fork out $100 or so on a new one. There you are - that's $800 you have saved!

You will also gain the benefit of using a rather open system (as opposed to mac) and you'll be able to dual boot off of Ubuntu (or other similar OSes) and Hackintosh, rather than trying to dual boot Windows and having to mess around with getting Ubuntu (or other similar OSes) to work too.

Even if you don't want to do that, most gaming is done on Windows, and website hosting is normally done on Unix (and if not, Windows).
