Restarted mid AI suite 3 overclock computer won't start

What happens if you restart in the while the ASUS AI Suite 3 is doing the 5 way optimization? E.g. I was doing the optimization and when it restarted my computer I thought it would be a brilliant idea to go into BIOS and see if it had changed anything obvious, forgetting of course that if you go into bios, whether or not you change anything your computer restarts... now it's been about 20min and my computer has yet to turn back on fully (lights are on for my gpu, mobo, ram, and water cooler, fans are all running, but nothing is showing up on my monitor and my keyboard and mouse aren't turning on) what did I screw up and how do I fix it?
Motherboard: ASUS Z170A
CPU: Intel i7 6700k
GPU: Nvidia gtx 1080

After a little more research I was able to reset BIOS by removing the CMOS battery and it works now... I think I'll not give myself another heart attack and leave my computer non-overclocked for now :p
