Hello, recently my PC has been experiencing some huge losses in FPS and functionality, I'm going to need some patience because I don't know a whole lot about the functionality of Computers, and it was home built by family members, my specs are listed below, if I'm missing anything I need to add then I will be happy to provide it.

Procesor: AMD Athlon(tm) || X4 640 Processor 3.00 GHz
16 GB RAM
64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
Running Windows 10 Pro Version 10.0.14393 Build 14393
Nvidia GeForce GTX 570
Baseboard: ASUSTek Computer INC. M4A87TD/USB3

A short while ago, about less than a month my PC experienced 5 or 6 crashes, all of which were the same type of crash, with a solid pink screen, no pink overlay of death, just completely solid, and any audio playing in a game or such, would continue normally; but, Discord or Skype connections would end, I don't believe that this is a monitor issue because all functions of the monitor still perform after a crash, such as I've been able to turn it off and on and switch around Channels and Input settings. I've even switched cables and cable type, from HDMI to DVI adapter, in case something was wrong with the connections between the GPU and Monitor.
After about 4 crashes I attempted rolling back my graphics card's drivers, as I've had issues with GeForce Experience's installations before, but to no avail as it crashed again a little bit afterwords. I was curious to see if the crashing was something related to overheating so, I ran my EVGA Precision X stress test and I successfully raised the GPU temp to above 99C without any issues, (and I was tearing my hair out seeing it rise that high.)

Moving away from the crashes, if I run anything, specifically games, I now only experience 20 FPS from the usual 120-160, and the fans and temperature of my GPU just sit at their idle, it's like they are not even trying to work. And this lasts for a solid amount of time, resetting the computer and turning off every single background process aside from important functions and the game itself will only boost me about 10 frames up to 30 and from here it will stay until randomly something will happen and bring me back up to 120-160 until I turn off my PC again, there is no drops it will stay at this constantly. (haven't tested if leaving it on all day and night will prevent issues, but that isn't the best usage of power). Strangely enough, in this section where I can't launch anything without getting over 20 or 30 FPS, running a stress test won't work. The EVGA precision X test will sit there at a core temp of 40C and not rise, no fans will start running faster, everything will just stay; however, if I run it during a time where I'm not having any issues, an immediate change in fan speed will occur with the core temp rising steadily.

UPDATE: Something strange here, when I launch a game such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the fps meter ticks around 30, it goes above and below and such, but if I hit alt+tab and go back to my desktop, and then click on it to go back. BOOM, easily above 150 fps forever, no issues. So far this has worked 100% of the time.

UPDATE: I have successfully found a secondary GTX 570 HD in a separate PC and used it in mine. If it crashes again on this one then it can't be my GPU right..? I'll post it here if it does.

I have no idea what to do, and I would appreciate any and all help. Thank you for taking the time to read this

Sounds to me that your GPU might be dying. If using the 2nd GPU doesn't crash your system then try using your GTX 570 in another system and look if you get about the same experience in there too. If you do, then your GPU is bad.

I appreciate your response, and I'm almost positive you are correct, and as an update, the second card was even more unreliable, completely different issues on that one, such as immediate shutdowns without any input on the monitor, so now it looks like I have two GTX 570's that seem to be close to dead. So far my original card hasn't crashed on the separate PC, but I never found a way to make it crash directly, it always seemed random, so I am just waiting now. I've done some troubleshooting online but none of the solutions have really worked.
