Do you have a link to the product? Is this something you are looking to buy? If so what are your system specifications?

this been going on for a long time

http://wccftech.com/fake-nvidia-graphic-cards-flood-world-markets/

guy take lesser cards and doctor them up to pass off as higher end cards . just a few months ago a guy bought what he thought was a new gtx 980 and got a doctored up 970 [ebay dealer]

you did the right thing by questioning this and now your finding out how easy you could be hoodooed. by a dishonest dealer or even he maybe unknowing from his supplier as well ?

theres a few articles around to look at on this I just keep that one handy to post in threads as yours to looik at

Very fake.

GDDR3 would not be found on a 680. The 680 had a 256bit bus. Clock speed is way too low. Bandwidth is also way too low.

If I had to guess, I would say they've cobbled something together with a very crippled GF110 chip.
