Hey there all!
My new SeaSonic S12II just came from amazon with US plug. But unfortunately I need it with European two-pin plug.
Should I simply use a plug adapter?
Or should I use cable from different PSU? If so - is there any difference which cable I should use? Does the cable has any parameters / characteristics?
Maybe I should contact amazon or SeaSonic for a replacement? Or is it ridiculous?

From my point of view amazon should have offered me an option to choose which plug I need during purchasing procedure. Or should I have contacted them beforehand myself?

Solution
Just make sure it's grounded, practically any PSU cable would fit any PSU and be strong enough. Only the end that goes to wall plug may be different in different countries.

Well the supply supports 100-240V 50-60hz, so you can at least actually use it.

Pretty much any power cable will do for a sub 1000W supply. I like to use older, or sometimes newer heavy duty cables, just for the slight efficiency increase that thicker wires grant. A lot of cheaper ones will use 18 gauge aluminum wire. But that is just because I happen to have them around.

Thanks for reply man. I am fully aware that the PSU itself is fully compatible with my electrical line. I am only concerned about the cable. I also happen to have some older heavy duty cables from some PSUs from the old days. But I was wondering if such cables are compatible with my PSU. Or if there are some requirements that cable should comply to.

An electrical plug only has one rating, and if your within it everything is fine.

Going to be Amps or Watts (effectively the same for our purposes) So your average UK circuit is good for around 3000W or about 12-13 amps. If you have a power cord rated that high, you are good to go, but if your power supply is say in the 620W range, then at most it might draw around 800W or 3-4 amps. If you have a cord rated for that (and in the UK I believe you have fuses in the plugs unlike us crazies across the pond) whatever that is rated at is your maximum tolerable load, though you don't want to ride the ragged edge.
