need urgent help with first bootup

i just built my new gaming pc and when i try to install windows 7 from a disc it wont let me select options on the setup with my arrow keys i have tried this on my laptop and it works fine also i have changed multiple keyboard and ports


im thinking that maybe there is something with the bios i dont know i have an asrock h170a-x1 3.1

1. Do the arrow keys select but not work, or do arrows not work at all?... If not selecting; USB not working. If selecting; refer to point 2

2. Have you connected the keyboard to USB 3.0 and also 2.0? = If only 3.0 try 2.0

3. If keyboard on USB 2.0 port doesn't work,
a) See if you can access the BIOS and enable USB.. the user manual may have the...

b) It's also possible setting the BIOS to failproof defaults, or optimal defaults may do the job.


4. If the keyboard doesn't help accessing the BIOS: Do a BIOS reset, it may enable USB functionality.
