So i got his keyboard yesterday but i have noticed that the "R" and some other keys are scratchy to press down, a completely different feeling from all the other key caps. Is this a big deal? The keyboard is CherryMX orange which is something similar to CherryMX brown

Solution
If it doesn't hamper your keyboard usage, then I don't see why not keep it.

I'd personally recommend forgetting about Razer keyboards altogether and looking at other brands that offer better products at a lower cost. Corsair K70's have been dropping in price for a while now.

My first blackwidow had a backspace key that would never fully depress and felt very scratchy. I tried doing my homework on it (I was in college when they first came out), and in 5 minutes, gave up and returned the thing. The second one I received had a space bar that came with a bent stabilizer bar underneath, meaning it could never fully depress, and actually ended up getting stuck at the bottom until I pried it off with a popsicle stick. Needless to say, it...

Not harder, it's apply the same force but it feels like it's scratching something when it goes down.

Welcome to the wonderful world of wonky Razer quality control. I'm not surprised, I got three blackwidow ultimates in a row, all three were defective in a pretty significant way. Razer mice tend to be better, but the keyboards are pretty awful.

So it will just be weird and i can keep it or is it a big deal and i should change it for another one?

Needless to say, it went back. The third one failed to light up.

I gave up all hope of having a decent Razer keyboard, and kept using my $45 CMStorm Quickfire Rapid Pro with Cherry MX Blues. I've had it for 5.5 years now, still going strong. The keycaps are starting to show wear and tear, but mechanically, its function is still like new, no failing switches, no failing keys, no failing lights.

I know there are plenty other keyboard brands, i went to the store looking for either CM Storm ultimate or Corsair K70, but in my country the only thing they importy is Razer and some really low end brands, thanks for the tips though.

That sucks. Sorry to hear that.

Would you consider buying anything online? Or are you like me, and have to stare at the product in store and verify it works before buying it?
