I'm planing on making the switch to a new Motherboard that supports an i5 4790, currently switching from an AMD processor, and I'm running into the question, or predicament rather, to either do a fresh install of everything, i.e. wipe the SSD clean and start over, or just repair Windows? I've seen people tell others to just repair and it works fine, and others say that you should just do a fresh installation of windows.

Also, I'd like to ask, what would happen to the older drivers of my AMD products? Will they basically be replaced when I repair windows (if I even go that route)?

I'd greatly appreciate an answer and a bug thank you to anybody who helps ahead of time.

From old AMD to new Intel will probably require a new install. Not 100% either way, but probable. And prepare for if it needs it.
Depending on what OS and what license, you may have to purchase a new Windows license.
