Linux USB install error, no media present.

Im having an error installing kali linux on my laptop, ive done it before but im now reinstalling it and im not able to get it working im burning it onto a usb and trying to install it on my laptop. when it boots all it says is "checking media presents...... no media present......" ive tried fully formating the laptop and re burning it on the usb nothing seems to work however windows operating systems seem to install fine.

What program are u using to prepare the USB drive? Try Lili Live Linux USB creator. That would work for most common Linux distributions like Ubuntu etc....

so far ive tried about about 4 or 5 programs including rufus, iso to usb, RMprepUSB, universal usb. all have had the same problem. but ill give it a try.
