Hi,

I have recently purchased a new Graphics card(GTX 950) for my computer, since I want to get in to PC gaming. The computer was running ok until I instailed the gpu. When i pressed the power buttion the gpu and cpu fans started spinning but there was no signal to monitor. so i removed the GPU and my computer started working normally again. Can someone please help me? I am new to this.

I connected the cable from my motherboard to my monitor so maybe that was the problem?

My specs are:
CPU: A10-5800k
Mobo: Asus A68HM Plus
RAM: 8gb ddr3
GPU?: Gigabyte GTX 950
Storage: Western Digital 1TB
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

Solution
When installing a GPU, you should make sure the cable is connected to the GPU because when installing a graphics card, the computer automatically detects it and switches to it.

A computer can not use the built in graphics and a GPU at the same time.

Thank you for your reply. However I still have one question: Do I need to connect GPU and motherboard to the monitor or will connecting the GPU do the same job?
