I have a good gaming PC but it's lagging.

Hello I have a problem with my PC. Its the first custom made PC I have and I'm not sure what to do. The problem is that the computer is lagging. Sometimes its perfectly fine and sometimes its just super laggy that its impossible to do anything.

My specs are:
CPU: Intel core i5-4440 3.10GHz
RAM 8gb
SYSTEM: Windows 7 ultimate 64bit
MOTHER BOARD: Gigabyte z97mx-gaming 5
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 2gb

Depending on which games are lagging, it could be the 2GB VRAM limitation on your GPU. Some games now require high VRAM capacity for higher res or texture settings. Only way to get around that is lower those settings.

Im playing mostly cs:go and sometimes i get 30 fps and sometimes 300. I have it set on the lowest settings

Could be you're just not using the best driver for your model of GPU. Often times with Nvidia you need to roll back to earlier driver versions on older model GPUs.

Not sure whether you're verifying that to be the problem, or refuting that it is, but regardless, you should try an older driver, for your GPU, not the game.
