Hello I'm building a new pc for a friend of mine this year and I just wanted your expert opinion on the parts that I choose.

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/jyywYr

This PC is a workstation/gaming pc. He has a budget of around $2000-$3000. He wanted a sound card so I picked this one

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001H4ZCS8/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=21E0X1TH5VIST&coliid=IZZB2UDXTZGSH

Also he won't compromise on the ssd/hdd and ram (He wanted 32 gigs) setup so I can't change that and the power supply is for future SLI and OC. Plus he wanted some headroom so yeah. Anyway like I said I wanted to ask your insight into this build since I've only build one PC in my life. These are my questions.

-Is it powerful enough for rendering?
-Do I need a wifi card? with the motherboard?
-Does the 2 fans in the corsair act as a exhaust fan?
-What does this mean? (Some Intel X99 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Broadwell-E CPUs.)
-Should I get the 6850k instead since it has 40 pcie lanes? Because I'm not sure if I have enough pcie lanes if he's going with SLI in the future.
-Should I better headset and speakers for my friend?

Unrelated question
-Is it better just to wait for amd zen since it has 8 cores?

The rest of the build like the monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers and headset. Are here:

Thanks for your help :D

Don't take this the wrong way but that's a fairly bad build. Not balanced at all with all the parts used.
What work programs (some programs like speed better than more cores) is he going to be using. The MX 300 SSD's are a good budget SSD but not really what I would use for the boot drive and the memory should be bought in a set of 4 sticks for that board.
The 3TB SB hard drive I would never consider buying they have a high failure rate that's why they just have a 2 year warranty.
For AMD just a simple NO they have never lived up to what they say the new chip increase will be and I see no reason to believe them now either.
For a WIFI card it depends on if he needs WIFI or uses a direct cable.
A X99 build can take a good bit of tweaking...

Hi,
This build should be plenty powerful enough for rendering, as the 6800K has 6 cores. You will need a wifi card if the board doesn't already come with one(some do).
Yes, the corsair cooling system is designed to have the fans exhausting.

I hate to say the audio on the motherboard is better than the sound card you chose, not that you can tell a difference with those speakers. the headset does not use a sound card it has one built in. I think the sound card is a waste of money with this motherboard.
the motherboard also has onboard gigabit, so unless he needs 2 gigabit ports the add in card would be another waste.
The motherboard may need a BIOS update to support broadwell is exactly that. the board was made before broadwell was introduced and so a BIOS update is needed for the board to use the newer chips because of varying voltage settings and such.

he could always upgrade the CPU if and when he decides to upgrade to SLI.
if you wait for the next thing you'll always be waiting. I say get the best you can while you can get it.

A X99 build can take a good bit of tweaking sometimes to get 100% stable.
Their really no reason to buy a disc drive today.
