Currently I have a GA-Z97-HD3 Motherboard and am looking to buy a Gigabyte Xtreme Gaming 1070 GPU. I was wondering if those 2 would be compatible.

Solution
It should work.
I could't find the exact maximum VGA length (maybe if you have the manual it's in there?), but most ATX cases would fit it, and your PSU is capable.
Your only concerns are:

1) Power Supply (has proper 6/8-pin connections), and

*You require 1x6-pin, and 1x8-pin. If you don't have those, but DO have sufficient power then you may be able to use an adapter such as 2xMOLEX-> 6-pin, along with a standard 8-pin (same as 6+2-pin).

Most cards have adapters.

2) CASE - the card physically fits (drive bays not in the way)
