Random Black Screens

Hello,

So I've had an ongoing problem which I'm determined to resolve. I've spend endless hours trying to find fixes myself and try them out but I havent been successful so I'm asking you lot for ideas!

Sometimes out of the blue, it usually happens at least once a day, while using my computer all of my screens will go black and I'm forced to restart my pc by holding the case button.

I originally thought my computer could be overheating and Intels protection thingy was shutting my pc down because my temperatures got a bit high at some points. I came to the conclusion that isn't the problem. I removed software known to have issues and this didn't help either. I've spent lots of time monitoring my pc to see if anything is odd when it occurs, but I just can't find anything. I also thought it would only happen on intensive games, but just before writing this It happened while I was on YouTube. Intensive games might trigger it more frequently (I could be wrong).

What makes it annoying is I get no errors, no blue screen, no errors before, it just suddenly occurs.

I've ruled out my GPU as I had a GTX 680 and now a 970 and it continues. Below are my specs and stuff you might need.

CPU: Intel Core i5 @ 3.20GHz (not overclocked)
RAM: 8GB Dual Channel DDR3
Motherboard: MSI Z97-G43
GPU: Nvidia GTX 970 (EVGA, Factory overclocked)
Storage: 500GB Seagate HDD, 1TB Western Digital, 50GB SSD (OS Isnt on the SSD :()
Monitors: BenQ 27", Samsung 24", Iiyama 24"
PSU: 650W (I think) Corsair
OS: Windows 10 Anniversary Update 64-Bit

I know for a fact my GPU and OS is up to date and most of the other components should be to. I have a suspicion it's RAM but I would have thought i'd receive an out of memory error. I hope i've provided everything needed and I hope you guys have some suggestions.

Thanks (Hope it's in the right section, kinda didn't know where to place due to it being an issue with anything)

Solution
1) Don't matter how many monitors the OP had.
2) OP did list the PSU. "PSU: 650W (I think) Corsair"

You may try test the RAM one by one with MemTest86 http://www.memtest86.com/download.htm
And mya go into the BIOS, hardware monitor section ( something like that ) to check the +3.3V, +5V and +12V to see the PSU is OK or not, because you don't list the Corsair model, I hope it is not the VS650. Here is the PSU Voltage Tolerances http://pcsupport.about.com/od/insidethepc/a/power-supply-voltage-tolerance.htm you want to see your PSU +3.3V, +5V, and +12 are within the +/- 5% range.
``Monitors: BenQ 27", Samsung 24", Iiyama 24"``
why 27 inches and 24 inches togeter? why not 3 X 24 inches monitors?
and why 3 differents brand and model for monitors?

``Storage: 500GB Seagate HDD, 1TB Western Digital, 50GB SSD (OS Isnt on the SSD) ``
look to me a bit messy

That isn't really helping me solve the issue? Being a uni student I dont have much free time and money meaning things were bought in different times and so on.

try with only one monitor

what do you do with 50 gb ssd? storage?
which model of psu you have ...is wrote on the box
your psu work well?

do you have an aftermarket cpu cooler or stock one?
i assume you have Intel Core i5-4460 , so the stock cpu cooler should be enough

Solution
3 differents monitor with 3 different resolution can give him issues
What kind the issues? I had the gtx 970, and I had three monitors, 2560 x 1440, 1920 x 1080, and 1280 x 1024. I did not have any problem at all. Because you can use the different resolutions for each single one, or use the same lowest resolution, 1280 x 1024, with triple-display.

So I spent the day with using only one monitor and I didn't have my issue where all the screens go black. I'm gonna flick between using 3 and 1 and see if the problem occurs again.

If the issue does occur because i'm using 3 monitors, how can I fix this?
