Custom Desktop won't star up when 8gb RAM installed

I bought all the pieces for a nice little entry level gaming desktop at the start of the year and everything seemed to work until i realized that it wasn't taking advantage of the full amount of ram installed. Of the 2x4gb kit (brand crucial ballistix sport), it only had 3.94gb available. From checking the sticks via swapping around slots one by one showed both sticks worked when installed in the 2nd slot but not the first so bad slot i thought. On top the support line told me the ram was not supported. Quicker to get a new ram stick for me so I got a supported 8gb corsair vengence stick and when installed the monitor was a blank screen. The case fans would run but the gpu powered on for only a few seconds then powered down. In the course of trying to figure this out I have made sure the max memory in msconfig is unchecked, updated bios, reset the cmos, resat the cpu, checked to see if the corsair was faulty but it did worked in another mobo, lowered and raised voltage to the ram (though i couldnt do this for the vengence cause i could never even enter bios) and finally sent the board in for an rma (which didnt even seem to fix the first slot).

System specs:
Asus A68HM-K mainboard
AMD Athlon X4 860k cpu
2x4gb Crucial ballistix sport/1x8gb corsair vengence ram
Nvidia GeForce GTX 950 gpu
EVGA NEX 750b psu
Windows 10 Home 64 bit

Ideally if I could get the 8gb stick I would be happy because then I wouldn't need to worry about shipping but if anyone thinks I should rma it again or even buy a new board I'm open to it at this point.

1| Can you get back to us with the SKU's of the Crucial and Corsair rams? The Crucial is of a kit, correct then the SKU for the package will be enough for this purpose while you'll need to provide Corsair's single stick of ram SKU.

2| Have you made sure your installer isn't corrupt? Have you tried recreating your bootable USB installer and reinstalling your OS? You can avoid reinstalling by trying a repair install but be warned, if this fails you're going to have to reinstall your OS.

3| We here at Tom's don't like to suggest wasting your money which is why the threads here often go into lengths trying to diagnose the issue.

4| Might I ask where you hail from/reside to worry about shipping?

5| It seems like you can get into BIOS without issue, correct? How have you installed the single stick of 8GB ram? In slot B or A? On that note, can you see your rams in BIOS?

6| Run memtest86 for at least 10 passes and see if any errors occur. You may want to try running the 8GB stick of ram on both slots to rule out faulty memory or faulty slot on your board.

Crucial: BLS2K4G3D169DS3
Corsair: CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10

I am from Tallahasse, Florida

I have installed the 8GB stick in both slot A and B, neither allows the computer to boot. When I can boot it up using either 4GB sticks installed in the B slot (it will not boot with a single stick in the A slot) I can access the BIOS and get information on my ram. With 2 sticks installed, I was able to get information on the stick in slot A as well. Just to see if I could get information on the corsair, I installed it in the A slot instead of the second slot and was able to see it in the bios. Though in both cases, it showed me 4GB of memory even though the bios showed a total of 8GB or 12 GB between the 2 slots.

The memtest ran for the 10 passes without any errors. This was with both the 4GB sticks installed, would it make a difference with a 4 and the 8GB stick? I'm currently unable to reinstall the OS. The product key I used is at home and I return over this weekend.
