Need Windows 7 Network Adapter driver for HP 15-b129wm Sleekbook -- HP doesn't have it.

I got a HP Pavilion TouchSmart 15-b129wm Sleekbook with Windows 8 pre-installed. I got Windows 7 installed.via a special authorized download of Windows 7 Setup. But I cannot connect to Internet. Diagnostic test says, "Windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter." If you have a network adapter, you will need to re-install the driver."

HP does not have a driver for HP Pavilion TouchSmart 15-b129wm Sleekbook. Is there a workaround? Another person had a similar issue, but I could not understand the solution.

Please note that Windows 7 is already installed. Thanks for any help on this matter.

Your best friend is your cell phone, connect your cellphone to the wifi, plug the phone into your computer and enable USB tethering on your phone. This will allow your phone to essentially act as a wireless card.
You can use this method to get your computer online to search for necessary drivers for your laptop.

I've used this idea recently when Installing windows 7 onto my laptop, downloaded "driverbooster by iobit" and grabbed my Ethernet drivers.

HP's specs says that this laptop has one of 3 WLAN modules, Qualcomm Atheros AR948, Ralink RT3290L or Ralink RT5390. Open up the device manager and click on the Network adaptors and it will tell you which WLAM module is installed. When go to the Qualcomm or Ralink site (obviously on another PC) and download the win7 driver for the module that you have to a USB stick. Then go back to the laptop and install the driver.
