Should I wait to build? Components are in.... Case is 2 weeks out.

Just want some opinions... what would you do?

My mobo recently died so I took the opportunity to upgrade my system. All of my new components are now in.... issue is that my new case is at least 2 weeks away.... the suspense is killing me!

I want to just go ahead and get everything set up in my existing case and then transfer it all over to the new one when it arrives... I am fairly experienced with this being my 6th build in the last 10 years.

Is it too risky to do this? Should I just wait and have no PC for 2 whole weeks??

haha, I know this is petty.... but I am sure you all have been in a similar situation before!

Personally, I would first, test it out of the case on a piece of cardboard or something with no static charge and wont affect the circuitry, and if it works from then, transfer it into your old case.

Testing it outside of the case will ensure that you have enough room to set everything up and test that everything works, and it saves time rather than the hassle of attaching the motherboard etc into the case.
