I currently run XP with 1 SATA drive. I'm about to install a new MB and SATA HDD. Can I partition the new HDD which is 1 terabyte in half and "mirror" 1 side of it with my current HDD which is 500 Gbyte (w/ currently 83% free space) so I have a backup of it while installing WIN 10 on the other partition of the 1 terabyte and have selection to either OS?

Thanks. I still haven't figured out what I want to do or actually how. replacing the MB but keeping the same HDD doesn't always work without re-formatting the HDD. Don't look forward to it:pt1cable: I now am thinking about partitioning the smaller HDD and putting WIN 10 on it then mirroring it with the bigger HDD but not sure if I should do that with the current MB or wait and try it with the new MB but that is iffy because of the hard task of getting the current HDD to work with a new MB. Any suggestions?
