Is KVR16N11S8/4 compatible with dual graphics setup?

No specific amount is 'required' other than enough to run the system itself. However for decent performance I'd want 8GB, the GPU is going to want to share some of your system DRAM since the card only has a GB on it, the OS is going to take DRAM as well any other programs in start up which will at most leave you with maybe 2GB to actually run programs with if you only have 4GB
