Hey guys,

So I have a corsair CX750M and I want to replace the noisy fan. I have an extra fan, from my old heatsink that runs pretty quiet. I've seen tutorials about replacing and the dangers of it, but I was wondering if I could just run the fan cable straight to the motherboard, so I don't have to solder anything.

If that doesn't end up working I'm going to replace it.

Thanks!

PSU fans generally have specific airflow requirements. You cant just slap a fan and go, then bad crap happens. And opening a PSU and touching around is risky, you can get severely shocked and should only do it if you're either a professional or certified fool like me.
