Alright so awhile back my PC started freezing when I was doing anything that seemed CPU intensive. So I figured it might be a virus because it started basically right after I had installed Skyrim and a bunch of mods. So I figured it was a good time to completely clean my drives, especially since its had 2 years worth of crap stored on them. I tried to do a OS reset which apparently is just like reinstalling your OS off of a disk but doesn't actually require the disk. (Thank god because I had lost it) Whelp my computer froze mid install and caused something to be broken and wouldn't allow me to install the rest. I then bought a brand spanking new copy of windows 10 and installed it off of the disk like a smart human being. Install went smoothing and everything seemed fine. Well I started playing a game and it froze AGAIN. This time I happened to have my Core Temp program running and noticed my CPU was apparently chilling at 50 some degrees Celsius.

Waaaayyy too hot for my standards, so I gave my computer a thorough cleaning and that seemed to bring the temp down but it still would spike into the 50s and would freeze the entire system. So I replaced the thermal paste and sure as shit that stuff was dried out and crusting off. Put some Arctic Silver5 and now my CPU is chilling at a comfy 20-30 degree Celsius....Welp...it froze solid AGAIN...and now I don't know what would be causing to freeze up. Its not OS or viral issue, its not a temp issue, I checked and my computer is recognizing the RAM just fine. I am at a loss and confused, any ideas?

There are a number of things you can try. Make sure you have the latest Bios installed and run memtest. Next I would try underclocking the CPU. Instability is a know issue with these, even at stock clocks. Make sure you have good airflow through the case and your VRM's are staying cool.
