Hey, so im having a dilemma between choosing a build and i need your help to make my decision.

also notice that i already have a Corsair 500w PSU and 1TB free space so the build dosen't include hard disk and PSU.

I have Asus vG248QE 144hz 1920x1080 monitor ( no HDMI support @ 144Hz )

Also im not sure if all the parts are compatible together so if something is wrong tell me !

Build A:

CPU: Intel Core I5 6500 3.2Ghz 6MB Cache s1151 - Tray
CPU Cooler: Arctic Alpine 11 Rev.2
Motherboard: Asus H110M-K LGA1151, Intel H110, DDR4, PCI-E, VGA, DVI
RAM: Kingston ValueRAM 2x8GB DDR4 2133Mhz CL15 Kit
SSD: Crucial MX300 CT275MX300SSD1 275GB SSD SATA III
GPU: Palit JetStream GTX 1070 8GB GDDR5
Case: NZXT Source 340 Glossy Matt Black Blue

Build B:
CPU: Intel Core i5 6600K 3.5Ghz 6MB Cache s1151 - Tray
CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer Xtreme Rev.2
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 3 LGA1151, Intel Z170, DDR4, 3xPCI-E, VGA, DVI, HDMI
RAM: HyperX FURY 2x8GB DDR4 2400MHz CL15 Kit
SSD: Crucial MX300 CT275MX300SSD1 275GB SSD SATA III
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1060 WINDFORCE OC 6GB GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI DP PCI-E
Case: NZXT Source 340 Glossy Matt Black Blue

Which one to choose and why, Thanks

Considering your monitor, the first one is the obvious choice. You don't need the CPU cooler unless you don't want to use the one that comes with the processor.

what badactor said ^^^

not much difference with the processor and you get a much better GPU.

ONLY reason i would say the second build would be better is if you play ridiculously CPU intensive games. then it might come out in the lead? but i dont know if any games like that even exist

depending on the model of the corsair 500w PSU ether one of those build could be pushing that unit.

Not considering the PSU I would go with A, CPU's are so strong you wont notice a difference between the 6500 or the 6600k but you will notice between the 1070 and 1060 so go for the stronger GPU.

From my point of view, the first build is more adequate for your needs. I would remove the cooler and try to get a slightly better motherboard with 4dimms ddr4 and m2 slot (Something with B150-H170 chipset).
