Solution
What is your budget? If you are looking for a really low budget option I would go with an i3-6100, you can opt for a DDR3 compatible board and reuse your old ram like this:
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i3-6100 3.7GHz Dual-Core Processor ($110.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Asus H110M-K D3 Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($57.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Total: $168.98
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Or if you can afford to spend more I would opt to buy a kit of DDR4 while you're at it. If you have an even higher budget I would opt for an i5.

An i3 is fine for low budget gaming and pairs well with a 750 Ti.

If you had a better GPU I would recommend an i5. However if you also plan on upgrading the GPU soon you should probably just buy the i5 now.

It all depends on how much money you have to spend.
