Hello, I would like to upgrade my PC To a SLI GTX 1070, currently i have a single MSI GTX 1070.

But my question. What Motherboard do i need to be able to use SLI & my current soundboard. i got an Xonar Phoebus Solo . Which is pretty small. But if i take a look in my PC. i currently have 3 slots for them. my first GTX 1070 uses slot 1 (Above) and the Soundcard the 3rd (down) But there wont fit another GTX between them, LOL.

It might fit when i move my Soundcard 1 up. to slot 2. and use slot 1 & 3 for the Graphicscard. but, they are very close to each other then. Is this a problem?

Also. is my Asus B85m-g SLI ready? IDK!

Help?

Hi, i have an Intel i7 4790k (something with 1050 for fitting) and 4 times 4gb DDR3 DIMM Ram,
I want to be as cheap as possible. because i need to save for it :D. And my moms car crashed yesterday so i need to save it fully....

My Specific GTX = MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X 8GB. It cost between 500 and 550 Euro in NL (My Country)

My PSU is placed on my Left bottom of the case. 2 Cm above it is my Soundcard, and 2 CM above the Soundcard is the GPU, And in the Left top is my Motherboard . The Processor is placed 5 CM away from a fan. And above it there are small holes to let air out. And my PSU breathes cool air inside the air from the bottom. :p
But that's not enough i think?

Btw, the reason why i want SLI is because my GTX 1070 Does not gives the promissed FPS. in GTA V Very High Full HD i should get 120 FPS. i get max 90...
This is a Nvidia software problem. so i was like 2 GTX 1070's? But people also says my Motherboard does not supports the newest GTX 1070's... So only a new Motherboard might help, right?

Motherboards have very little to no effect on gaming performance. Labeling a motherboard as "gaming" is purely marketing.
Are you running AA maxed out? Most benchmarks use no to lityle AA a d it will severly impact performance. Others things to check are cpu and gpu usage and temps aswell as making sure there are few background processes running.

I have a z170-a Asus Mobo with the 6700k CPU and a 750w psu running 2 msi 1070's in sli. Runs beautifully. Hopefully that'll give you a idea of what you may need to look into getting or something similar.
