I'm considering picking up one, but with it being released in 2014 and it now getting towards the end of 2016, I am wondering if getting one of these is still a viable option? Or should I go another route? If so what's the newest and greatest in the 1200w platinum range?

Thanks!

Very viable. Not many others out there with a 10/10 review from Johnnyguru. Just 'cause something is newer doesn't always mean it is better, even in the long run.
I would go for it; specially with the 10 year warranty. This is a really really good powersupply.

Haha. Because I'm going the total overkill on my machine. Currently I'm running one 1080 soon to be two, a pump and 8 fans. Can a 800w still do all that?

Also with a 1200w I never have to even think about "do I have enough power for that?"

Just food for thought. I'd be happy with anything between 750w and up tbh.

Well then... After see the graph on that page there... Maybe I totally could downgrade to like a 800...

New question... Hows Evgas SuperNOVA P2 850?

Or the T2 850?
Which is better? The T2?

Goes in this order T2 (80+ Titanium) P2 (80+ Platinum) G2 (80+Gold). Any of them are excellent but the T2 will pull slightly less from the wall as it is more efficient but it will only save you a tiny, tiny amount on the electricity bill a year so it is negligible. If you want the absolute best then the T2 is the best but you won't find anything wrong with any of those.

If I wanted a 80+Titanium I'd want this one though, imo best PSU out and quite cheap atm.
